Education
The Heritage Education Program, available to area elementary schools, is a specially designed curriculum meant to aid students in learning about local history. The curriculum targets significant architectural and historic structures and provides teachers with lesson plans, discussion guides, illustrations, supplemental reading materials, and kits for creating models and replicas. The Trust also offers special walking tours of Gratz Park and the Hunt-Morgan House in conjunction with this program or separately.
Technical Assistance is offered on a variety of preservation issues. This assistance is provided through seminars, workshops, a resource library and in response to individual requests for information.
Heritage Exhibits, developed by the BGT, are available to the public free of charge. Please contact us to reserve these exhibits.
Brown Bag Lectures focus on a variety of topics related to Kentucky’s cultural heritage. Lectures are offered on the third Tuesday of the month, with the exception of December, at Noon at the Hunt-Morgan House, 201 N. Mill St.
