Wanda Jaquith
Wanda Jaquith’s love of historic properties dates to grade school when she lived in Holly Rood, or Clark Mansion, one of the most historic homes in Clark County, Kentucky. Her family’s next residence in New Castle, Kentucky purportedly boasted a Civil War cannonball scar in the brick chimney underneath its stucco veneer. Wanda has also lived in two houses in Lexington’s Ashland Park Historic district and currently resides in Hanover Towers, a BGT plaqued building. A former high school English teacher and library media specialist for Fayette County Public Schools and current member of LFUCG’s Historic Preservation Commission, she co-chairs the Community Preservation and Education Committee, serves on the Bluegrass Trust Board of Directors, and is an Assistant Editor for Preservation Matters magazine.
